In 2007/8 we asked thousands of carers and carers' organisations what needs to change to improve carers' lives. Three thousand carers and former carers, members and supporters of Carers UK gave us their views together with government, public bodies and voluntary organisations. Carers UK held nine events throughout the UK attended by 877 people. Over 300 carers wrote detailed submissions. Based on these contributions Carers UK drew up its strategic plan which shapes our day to day work.
